Comments: Top notes – WOW! Spicy, labdanum, musky. Super sexy. In 20 minutes, becomes a violet pastille – vanilla, violets with a hint of cream. 10 minutes after that – becomes an almondy loukhoum scent. Creamy, almost like marzipan. 1 hour in – HUGE maple syrup note that lasts about 10 minutes. Leather (suede) and amber appear at the 2 hour mark with the almond/vanilla confectionary. The confectionary dominates. 3.5 hours in – it develops a boozy rum note on my skin. Maybe its just the combination of heliotrope and vanilla. After 10 minutes of smelling like I went on a rum-soaked bender, it goes back to the almond/vanilla confectionary. It seems like each time I stick my nose to my wrist it smells different. From hour 5 on, it’s really close wearing and I find myself wishing the SO was nearby so he could snuggle up and share this. Lingered almost 15 hours before I finally showered.

Date: 12/20/08 Weather: 40 degrees, damp, cloudy

Comments: Vanilla and leather with ambregris. Still very pretty. After a couple of hours, a huge maple syrup note appears and it gets a bit powdery. The whole thing seems to vibrate around an ambregris / vanilla note. Really pretty and easy to wear. Decent sillage. Was STILL going almost 24 hours later. Finally showered it off the next morning.
