Guerlain – Nahema

Perfume: Nahema
House: Guerlain
Source: The Perfume Court
Size: 1mL EdP

OsMoz Notes:
Top note : Bergamot, Mandarin, Rose
Middle note : Rose, Peach, Cyclamen, Lily
Base note : Vanilla, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Benzoin

Date: 3/5/08 Weather: 55 degrees, sunny

Comments: Starts with an orangy blast that quickly fades to a pure rose scent. Within 5 minutes, the roses are joined by a spicy note, then a powdery note. Peach makes an appearance 7 minutes in, but the roses continue to dominate. A boozy note appears briefly at 10 minutes – then it returns to the peach/rose combination. It’s like someone mashed roses and peaches together then added some talc for good measure. The rose, peach and powder combo lingers for the next hour or so, picking up a few more flowers along the way. 2 hours in – powdery, slightly greenish with some peach and lily. Very faint. 3.5 hours in – practically gone. Get a lingering hint of the signature Guerlain dry down.

Date: 4/12/08 Weather: 75 degrees, sunny

Comments: Roses – green, powdery, slightly spicy. Very creamy and powdery rose with Guerlainade in the dry down. Way too fleeting (only 3 hours).

Date: 9/8/08 Weather: 68 degrees, clear

Comments: Roses – green leaves and black pepper. Gets very powdery and more black pepper over the next 15 minutes. Then a hint of the Guerlain vanilla. A lot sharper this time – but it may also be my nose this morning. My sinuses feel a bit wonky. After 30 minutes – straight rose talc and black pepper. I think there is some nail polish remover in here. The powder becomes creamy at the 45 minute mark and the nail polish remover disappears (thank god!). Finally settles into a creamy rose with some black pepper. Gone in 4 hours.

Date: 10/29/08 Weather: 40 degrees, breezy

Comments: Green roses and vanilla. Gets creamy with a hint of black pepper to go with the roses and vanilla. Lasted a bit longer this time – around 6 hours.
