Guerlain – Insolence

Perfume: Insolence
House: Guerlain
Perfumer: Maurice Roucel
Source: Sephora
Size: 1.5 mL EdT Spray

Sephora Notes: Spiral Accord, Iris (Orris), Orange Blossom, Rose, Violet, Sandalwood, White Musk, Tonka Bean, Raspberry

Date: 2/21/08 Weather: 25 degrees, cold.

Comments: Starts with strawberries, then violets appear. Becomes a sweet violet/berry blend with a hint of powder and occasionally some roses. A nicely done fruity floral. Not my style, but I can see myself reaching for this occasionally. Showered 2 hours later. Still had this scent on clothes and skin – berries/violets/roses/sugar. Develops a stronger vanilla note 1 hour after the shower. Worn again in the evening. Same evolution. Doesn’t strike me as spiral so much as linear. Gone in 5 hours.

Date: 4/14/08 Weather: 75 degrees, sunny, Orlando

Comments: Finding myself craving Guerlain recently. This is Guerlain in its simplest form. Sweet, floral (roses and violets), slightly fruity (but not so much that alarms go off). Vanillic. Really loving this stuff right now. Maybe it needed warmer weather.

Retired 4/15/08. Finished sample.
