Hermes – Kelly Caleche

Perfume: Kelly Caleche
House: Hermes
Perfumer: Jean Claude Ellena
Source: The Perfume Court
Size: 1mL

OzMoz Notes:
Top note : Green Notes, Lily-of-the-valley, Rose, Narcissus
Middle note : Climbing Rose, Mimosa, Tuberose
Base note : Iris, Woodsy Notes, Leather Accord

Date: 2/21/08 Weather: 30 degrees, breezy and threatening to precipitate

Comments: Starts with an artificial Passionfruit note. Quickly develops an herbal note, then a floral dust. There is something citrusy through this, and a tad sour. The iris begins to appear in 10 minutes, along with the leather (glove leather note). There is also something weirdly sweet (and slightly sickly) at this stage. The weird sweet thing disappears and reappears between the iris, wood and leather. I seem to get more leather in this than most reviewers. I may need to try this another time, in warmer weather. I would like it more if it had just the iris/wood/leather without the weird sweet thing.

Date: 4/19/08 Weather: 80 degrees, clear
My note is a bit stuffy. As a result – I get a lot of vegetables and greens and slight sourness. The weird sweetness kicks in again after 10 minutes or so. Don’t think I like this one much – seems a little vomitous.

  1. Exactly. You know what it’s good for – your purse. Otherwise, on my skin it’s like eating a raw onion during the onset of a headache.
