Perfume Court notes: vanilla, myrrh, civet, cedarwood, lemon, pepper, mace, cardamom, orange blossom, rose, jasmine, and rosewood

Date: 2/6/08 Weather: 65 degrees, windy

Comments: A vanilla/wood/musk with a soapy note that is more evident when wrist-sniffing than in the sillage. Some indeterminate flowers in here. The notes weave in and out – some becoming more prevalent than others – but the base vanilla/wood/musk note remains. Almost “foggy”. There really isn’t a delineation of notes. More of a scent impression – “I am wearing Parfum Sacre! Come closer to smell me.” About 2 hours later, the soapy note burns off for good. Vanilla and a carnationy flower. Very close wearing. 7 hours later – ends as white musk with strong vanilla note.

Comments: A pretty, spicy rose laced with sandalwood. Within an hour, you get a healthy lashing of vanilla and carnations. Just gorgeous – I don’t know why I don’t wear this more often.

Date: 10/23/08 Weather: 45 degrees, breezy

Comments: Roses, some black pepper, a hint of vanilla. The spices (particularly clove from the carnations) strengthens along with the vanilla and some incense. The incense note strengthens with the vanilla about 2 hours in. A musk note appears as well. The carnations linger. Not a high-sillage perfume on me, particularly after the first couple of hours. Drydown – vanilla, carnations, some incense and a hint of musk. Enjoying this from bottle sniff (where it is more dominantly peppers and roses) to late dry-down. Blends with my skin beautifully.
