Perfumer: Ernest Daltroff

Perfume Court Notes: leather, carnation, linden, iris, vetiver, ylang ylang, cedar, patchouli, vanilla, amber and musk

Date: 2/5/08 Weather: 55 degrees, clear

Comments: Carnation, iris, a hint of powder, spices. This all weaves in and out. Later (15 minutes), begin to pick up some musk. 25 minutes – a hint of vanilla appears. Still a spicy floral at the core. Where is the leather? Where is the smoke? I do pick up a bit of tobacco in this scent. About 1.5 hours in, pick up a bit of amber with the vanilla and spices. It also becomes close wearing. The flowers burn off a bit (but the carnation still lurks). 3 hours in – amber and vanilla laced with spices. Very wearable.

Date: 3/2/08 Weather: 40 degrees, clear

Comments: Starts with carnation then quickly evolves to a floral glove leather scent – heavy on the carnation. I also pick up a hint of cigar tobacco – but this is fleeting. 20 minutes in, the leather disappears and powder appears with some spices and an orangey/ ambery note. Also start to pick up the vanilla. Picked up a brief alcohol note (from up close) about 60 minutes in. Thankfully, this note is fleeting. The drydown is a carnation/mossy/vanilla thing. Lasts a long time – 8 hours later, still going with the carnation/moss/vanilla note.

Date: 3/11/09 Weather: 48 degrees, cloudy

Comments: Start – cigarettes, leather and carnations. Mid-day – leather and carnations. End of day (almost 12 hours later) – hint of carnation and a vanillic, mossy amber. Gone the next morning.
