Caron – Bellogdia

Perfume: Bellogdia
House: Caron
Perfumer: Ernest Daltroff
Source: The Perfume Court
Size: 1 mL parfum

Perfume Court Notes: carnation, rose, jasmine, violet, lily of the valley, sandalwood, vanilla and musk

Date: 2/4/08 Weather: 40 degrees, cloudy

Comments: Starts with a strong lily of the valley note mixed with violets. A green clear floral. The vanilla comes in a bit later (about 20 minutes) to add some sweetness. Also pick up some woods and greens in here. I’m trying to figure out whether this registers a bit “old ladyish.” It really straddles that line. 40 minutes (and some sweat) in, spices appear and it becomes more of a carnation scent. The sillage on this stuff is very pretty and soft. I think heat may be a really good thing for this scent, considering how it bloomed in the gym.

Date: 3/7/08 Weather: 45 degrees, clear and breezy

Comments: Wearing this over showered The Body Shop Rougeberry (tried to scrub this off and couldn’t). Top notes wind up smelling like synthetic lily of the valley. Still very green. Catch a whiff of the carnation soon after application. 5 minutes later- the carnation strengthens and the chemicals burn off. Bellodgia finally dominates for good after 15 minutes – the carnation note appears for good. Vanilla makes an appearance 30 minutes in to warm up the carnation and the sillage improves. Stays carnation – gone completely in 4 hours.
