Serge Lutens – Rousse

Perfume: Rousse
Perfumer: Serge Lutens
Source: Luckyscent
Size: 1 mL

Luckyscent Notes: cinnamon, mandarin, nutmeg, cedarwood, amber

Date: late November Weather: 50 degrees, rainy and breezy

Comments: Starts with cinnamon and wood. Becomes woodier, but very linear. Fades fast (gone within 3 hours). Work appropriate, but dull.

Date: 2/23/08 Weather: 35 degrees, cloudy

Comments: More citrus this wearing, but still fundamentally a cinnamon stick. A wearable cinnamon stick. Worn over 12 hour old L’air du Desert Marocain. Gone in 4 hours. One of the fastest fading Lutens.

Date: 8/12/08 Weather: 80 degrees, sunny

Comments: Cinnamon mulled wine. Definitely picking up a grape note this time. Wearing over 10 hour old Le Maroc, so I may be inadvertently picking up the jammy note from the Tauer. 4 hours in, start picking up a creamy white musk note. This lasts for another 3-4 hours. I’ve started picking up the creamy white musk note in a lot of fragrances recently where I hadn’t encountered it before. Don’t know if it is my nose picking up a musk I was formerly anosmic to, the heat, or I’m wearing something that causes that note to blossom.
