Frederic Malle – Le Parfum de Therese

Perfume: Le Parfum de Therese
House: Frederic Malle
Perfumer: Edmond Roudnitska
Source: The Perfume Court
Size: 1mL

Now Smell This Notes: mandarin, melon, jasmine, pepper, violet, rose, plum, nutmeg, cedar, vetiver, and leather

Date: 1/30/08 Weather: 40 degrees and clear, evening

Comment: Starts white floral and quickly marches through a series of experiences – green, citrus, aquatic, powder, leather, spicy, back to watery, more powder, back to green, more citrus… I find my nose firmly planted to my wrist to see what will happen next. 30 minutes later, it finally decides what it wants to be for awhile – a bouquet of violets wrapped in glove leather. Stays this way for the duration – gone by morning.

Date: 7/11/08 Weather: 75 degrees, sunny

Comments: When your lover drools on you during kinky sex play. There’s flowers (from the lotion). Throughout the evolution, there is that drool note underneath. Not unpleasant, kinda sexy in it’s twisty way. But unlike many other perfumistas who seem to prefer this in the summer, I think I much prefer this in cooler weather. I’m a bit uncomfortable wearing this in public today.

Date: 4/21/09 Weather: 60 degrees, sunny

Comments: Cantalope and leather. Then becomes cantalope. After 6 hours – picking up the vetiver and jasmine and other dry flowers along with the leather. Didn’t pay nearly as much attention to it as usual. Still lingered after 8 hours – very close wearing.
