Ormonde Jayne – Osmanthus

Perfume: Osmanthus
Perfumer: Ormonde Jayne
Source: Ormonde Jayne
Size: 1.5 mL Spray

Notes:
Top – pomello, davana, pimento
Heart – osmanthus absolute, water lily, sambac
Base – cedarwood, labdanum, musk, vetiver

Date: 10/27/07 Weather: 65 degrees and rainy

Comments: Citrus and osmanthus. Becomes jasmine and water lily. Really light and watery. I start smelling the cedar (again, very light) and labdanum. This winds up being a clean floral scent laced with wood at the base. Still driftingly there after 3 hours with a hint of citrus. I think this will be better in the summer. May need the warmth to open up.

Date: 2/16/08  Weather: Daytona, FL – 64 degrees, clear, evening

Comments: Starts with slight citrus.  Definite osmanthus note.  Quickly becomes jasmine and water lily.  Then becomes sweet, slightly musky, floral and powdery.  These scents seem to wear best when sprayed on chest only.  A stronger, spicy musk makes an appearance among the flowers and powder within 15 minutes.  So does a tarry note. Worn again 2 days later. Doesn’t last long, especially in heat. Only get about 3 hours wear.
