Serge Lutens – Cedre

Perfume: Cedre
Perfumer: Serge Lutens
Source: Luckyscent
Size: 1mL

Luckyscent Notes: Cedarwood, tuberose, musk, amber and cinnamon

Date: 1/12/08 Weather: 45 degrees and sunny

Wearing: Starts woody with a slight citrus note. Begins to add a little powder into the mix. 5 minutes later, becomes vanilla and woods. 8 minutes later – it turns into a sharp amber. Not soapy, but more like a blast of acid. A musky note also starts to appear. There is a slight mentholated note that occasionally pops up – more to add interest. 1 hour in – becomes a lovely cinnamon scent, laced with musk and amber. Stays this way for the rest of the 7 hours it stays on my skin.

Comments: This is a pretty fragrance. Not as woody as I would have expected from the name. The wood is there as a base to the proceedings. Adore this dry-down.

Date: 3/3/08 Weather: 50 degrees, clear

Comments: Starts with an almost fruity note. Then becomes amber – the sweeter form. Fairly linear. Afraid it might be overwhelming when I first put it on but received no comments from the bowling boys. Furthermore, found that the sillage on this was overwhelmed by the cologne that 2 of the 4 bowling boys decided to wear that evening (I think they were both wearing a Farenheit-like substance).
