Comme des Garcons: Incense series – Avignon

Perfume: Avignon
House: Comme des Garcons
Perfumer: Bertrand Duchaufour
Source: Luckyscent
Size: 1mL

Luckyscent Notes: Roman chamomile, cistus oil, elemi, incense, vanilla, patchouli, palisander, ambrette seeds

Date: 8/20/07 Weather: N/A

Wearing: Burning pine needles, frankinscence, amber (woody). After 5 minutes – pure pine, frankinscence and sandalwood. Essentially stays there for the duration. The scent lasts about 3 hours on me.

Comments: Initial reaction – I like this, even with its “Pine-Sol” vibe. Reminds me of a friend’s house – she used to burn incense that smelled like this. Curious to see how others react to this scent.

Date: 2/13/08 Weather: 35 degrees, rainy

Comments: Starts soapier than I remember, then becomes the pine/frankincense/amber/wood combo. Perfect scent for this type of weather. Also feeling very stuffy and a bit ill this morning. Almost everything smells a bit soapy right now.

Date: 9/24/08 Weather: 60 degrees, sunny

Comments: Couldn’t smell it when I first put it on. After 20 minutes, the signature Catholic Church incense note appears and strengthens. 1 hour in – picking up a cinnamon note ?!? I kept smelling Avignon off and on throughout the day, occasionally laced with vanilla, which may have been a result of my deodorant. Actually, the cinnamon note may have been a result of perfume remains on the sweater I was wearing. Lasted about 12 hours – much longer than previous wearing.
