Parfums de Nicolai – Sacrebleu

Perfume: Sacrebleu
House: Parfums de Nicolai
Source: Luckyscent
Size: 1mL

Luckyscent Notes:black currant bud, peach blossom, jasmine, tuberose, vanilla, tonka bean, Yemenese incense

Date: 11/3/08 Weather: 45 degrees,

Comments: Starts with a stunning jasmine / tuberose / vanilla top. Smells gorgeous right out of the decant (something I find pretty rare). Becomes more jasmine with a slight green note over the next 30 minutes. There is a hint of carnation in here. About minute 30 – everything registers as a spicy rose on my skin with the jasmine. 1 hour in, carnation with a bit of the jasmine still lingering and some vanilla. Still amazed at how pretty this is. After 3 hours – a lightly incensed vanilla with a hint of jasmine. Stays here for the duration. Still going strong at 11 hours. Showered.

Date: 12/16/08 Weather: 43 degrees, drizzly

Comments: Stunning floral / vanilla oriental. More fruit this time. Very well blended (and I’m feeling a tad stuffy today), so I’m not picking up notes so well. 90 minutes later, pick up a hint of powder. After 3 hours, an incensed, sweet floral. Didn’t last as long this time – about 6 hours. Also picked up a strange plasticky note at the 5 hour mark. Not sure if that was the scent or other things I was exposed to that day (soap, etc).

Date: 2/13/09 Weather: 47 degrees, evening

Comments: Densely vanillic fruit with a healthy flower note. Very well blended. Becomes more of a white flower scent (with a healthy slug of a creamy fruit confection) over the next hour. Gone the next morning.
