Keiko Mecheri – Paname

Perfume: Paname
Perfumer: Keiko Mecheri
Source: Luckyscent
Size: 1mL

Luckyscent Notes: absinth, rare spices, comores vanilla flower, powdery musk

Date: 7/1/08 Weather: 86 degrees, sunny, humid

Comments: Strong turpentine at the opening. Quickly fades to a nice spicy sandalwood. That woody note stays as the vanilla and powder notes strengthen on the drydown. Once you get past the rather sharp opening, it’s a lovely, close-wearing scent. The comparisons to Serge Lutens Douce Amere in the Luckyscent comments are right on point. Douce Amere is better put together. Gone in 7 hours.

Date: 4/19/09 Weather: 65 degrees, cloudy

Comments: Anise and cedar. The anise is much stronger on this wearing. Dries down to a softer anise/cedar blend – strong on the anise – and stays here for a bit. 4 hours later – a musky woody vanillic thing. Becomes more vanillic as it dries down. Finally gone in 10 hours.
