Robert Piguet – Baghari

Perfume: Baghari
House: Robert Piguet
Source: Beauty Encounter
Size: 1 mL spray

OsMoz Notes:
Top: Bergamot, Violet, Neroli, Aldehydes
Heart: Centifolia Rose, Jasmine, Damascus Rose, Orange Blossom
Base: Vetiver, Iris, Vanilla, Amber, Musk

Date: 4/24/08 Weather: 64 degrees, sunny, humid

Comments: Starts pleasantly floral / spicy. Violet, Jasmine (slightly indolic), healthy lashing of amber, some vanilla. There’s also a slight ozonic “freshness” that I’m picking up. About 30 minutes in, develops a rubbery/soapy note and a tuberose-ish note appears (maybe it’s the combination of rubber/soap and flowers that’s making me think that). Still spicy and a bit sweet. Still dominantly violets and jasmine with the amber and vanilla. The base is vanilla, amber, vetiver, and some iris. Nice scent, but fades very quickly both on skin and in memory. Overall impression – I can spray this on and smell pretty without thinking about it. Gone in 4 hours.

Date: 6/11/08 Weather: 80 degrees, sunny

Comments: Sharp, aldehydic opening. Strongly spicy, orangy and floral (mostly jasmine) with a healthy lashing of a soapy amber. The orange disappears quickly (possibly a result of wearing this over old L’Artisan Fleurs d’ Oranger) and it becomes spicy amber with a floral undertone. Still think this scent is a pretty oriental and quite wearable. But I am also finding that it is not a craver.
