Rochas – Femme
Perfume: Femme
House: Rochas
Perfumer: Edmond Roudnitska (original), Olivier Cresp (1989 reformulation)
Source: Beauty Encounter
Size: 1mL
OsMoz Notes:
Top: Peach, Plum, Cumin, Rosewood.
Heart: Jasmine, Rose, Orris, Clove
Base: Vanilla, Oakmoss, Patchouli, Benzoin
Date: 4/23/08 Weather: 70 degrees, sunny
Comments: Starts with a cumin note woven into a chypre (very Mitsouko-like). The cumin note burns off in about 10 minutes and you are left with oakmoss and some flowers (jasmine?). The perfume strengthens over time. About an hour in – it’s a chypre with a saliva tone. The saliva disappears at hour 2 and you have a Mitsouko-style chypre. There is a hint of vanilla, but the drydown is significanly drier and not as creamy. Interestingly – gone in 4 hours. Would have expected it to last longer.
Date: 3/11/09 Weather: 45 degrees, drizzly
Comments: “Chypre” with a significant hit of cumin. The cumin burns off within 30 minutes (I was kinda digging it this morning), and I am left with “chypre”. There is some significant sillage on this thing. There’s also a healthy hit of powder and fruit with vanilla weaving in and out. Can’t place the scent very well other than it registers “perfume”.
