Stephanie de Saint-Aignan – Berberiades Extreme

Perfume: Berberiades Extreme
Perfumer: Stephanie de Saint-Aignan
Source: Luckyscent
Size: 1mL

Luckyscent Notes: Citrus, precious woods (sandalwood, cedar, ambroxan), ginger, cinnamon, sweet vanilla, incense, patchouly, amber

Date: 4/7/08 Weather: 45 degrees, drizzly

Comments: Starts with incense. Then gets woody/piney with a significant citrus hit. Especially up close. Registers as incense with woods and a hint of cinnamon on the sillage. Within an hour – softens up to an incense with a hint of spice and a small dose of cinnamon. Gets slightly sweeter and spicier on the drydown (about 3 hours in). Also a subtle “dill” note. Not unpleasant. 7 hours in – incense, hint of cinnamon. No dill note (that burned off after a couple of hours). Much closer wearing. Need to do a direct comparison between this and the original.

Date: 11/2/08 Weather: 55 degrees, sunny, breezy

Comments: Starts with a blast of woods – sandalwood and cedar. As it dries down, cinnamon incense on a sandalwood base. Stunning. There’s more vanilla in the base on this wearing. Doesn’t read as gourmand, more incense. Subtle changes throughout the wearing.
