Michael Storer – Genvieve
Perfume: Genvieve
Perfumer: Michael Storer
Source: Michael Storer
Size: 2 mL
Notes: Rose de Mai, Bulgarian rose, desert lily flower, essences of fruits, galbanum, sandalwood, Japanese musk, civet
Date: 11/10/07 Weather: 35 degrees and clear
Comments: Starts with a floral/chemical note. Not sure if this is from the prior scent (freshly scrubbed Stephanie). Becomes a bit woody. The roses are almost in the background and they are very green. No sweetness. Very tart. Starts becoming mellower after 15 minutes, then becomes almost citrusy. Throughout this, however, is that strange plasticky, chemical, weird note. I have a feeling civet and I are not friends. Had to scrub this one too.
Date: 2/5/08 Weather: 65 degrees, clear
Comments: Dial soap – the gold bar. Incredibly strong and tough to smell much else. No roses or lilies here. Just soap. 30 minutes later, mellows for a brief bit (still dial soap, but not as strong), then comes back full force. Still can’t stand it long enough to let it evolve. Scrubber.
