Divine – L’inspiratrice

Perfume: L’inspiratrice
Perfumer: Divine
Source: Luckyscent
Size: 1.5 mL

Luckyscent Notes: Rose, ylang-ylange, vanilla, tonka bean, vetiver, patchouli

Date: 11/14/07 Weather: 55 degrees and cloudy

Comments: Starts with a slight anise note. Becomes sweetly green, then moves to a powdery wood laced with floral. Lasts 6+ hours. Very beautiful vanilla/rose/patchouli dry down. Feeling a bit anosmic today and not identifying notes well. Stlll, like this one.

Date: 2/6/08 Weather: 75 degrees!!!! Thunderstorms in area

Comments: This time it starts with a citrus floral blast. Quickly dries out to the powdery wood laces with floral notes and some anise. About 10 minutes in, picks up a cherry note (probably from the tonka bean). Not picking up much patchouli at this stage – lots of vanilla and powder and cherries. Start getting a bit of patchouli to add a woody note about 45 minutes in. Not picking up much rose in this wearing. Showered 90 minutes in.

Date: 7/17/08 Weather: 80 degrees, humid

Comments: Roses, white flowers, cherries. Picks up a hint of powder as it dries down. The patchouli keeps it from getting too sweet. Loving this stuff. After 5 hours it dries to a pretty vanilla rose. Becomes straight vanilla/tonka after 7 hours. Super duper pretty and a potential FB purchase. I want to finish the sample before I make a final determination.

Date: 10/12/08 Weather: 70 degrees, sunny

Comments: Aldyhydes, roses, white flowers and cherries. Not sure I dislike the top and heart but this is obviously wearing me today. Gets a tad powdery as it dries down to a cherry vanilla with a hint of musk. The musk may be the left overs of the Susanne Lang Cashmere I wore yesterday and still seems to linger. Do love this dry-down.

  1. I am newbie to blogging but not to scent too. Thankyou for adding a link to my blog at perfumepilgrim. I like your blog too, it is fragrant! I liked L’inspiratrice tos but not in a desperate fall in love kinda way, like I did with L’ame Soer.

  2. Rita – Glad you found this blog and thrilled you commented!
I still need to try this again. The Divine line right now strikes me as scents that are beautifully made and very strong. Not sure I’m going to get through much more than a sample of this one.
