L’Artisan – Fleurs d’Oranger (2007)

Perfume: Fleurs d’Oranger (2007)
Perfumer: L’Artisan
Source: Luckyscent
Size: 1mL

Luckyscent Notes: Orange Blossom, Neroli

Date: 11/6/07 Weather: 55 degrees and clear

Comments: Very sharp alcoholic opening. Turns to orange oil then settles to an orange blossom scent. Sweet, floral, hint of wateriness. Gone in 2 hours. This is more soliflore than the Serge Lutens Fleur d’Oranger. Prefer the complexity of the SL.

Date: 12/11/07 Weather: 50 degrees and cloudy

Comments: Once get past the initial alcoholic blast, turns into a pure orange blossom. Greener on the opening this wearing – more like the orange blossom tree than just the blossoms.

Date: 6/11/08 Weather: 80 degrees, sunny

Comments: Pure orange blossom. Green with minimal sweetness. The drydown is orange blossom honey. In the heat, this wound up lasting about 4 hours – with the final 3 hours being the honeyed scent.

Date: 8/25/08 Weather: 82 degrees, humid

Comments: Orange blossom with greenery. This time, about 5 minutes in, picks up a black pepper note that lasted about 30 minutes. Still only lasts about 4 hours. The drydown is still orange blossom honey.

Date: 11/3/08 Weather: 50 degrees, late evening

Comments: Worn after a shower and crawled in bed. SO’s commented – Wow! You smell nice! Pretty much orange blossom with greenery. Any sharp edges on this one seem to have aged out. Gone the next morning.

Date: 7/21/09 Weather: 80 degrees, sunny

Comments: Orange blossom with greenery. Doused myself in it to finish the bottle. Stayed true. Gone within 3 hours.

Retired – 7/21/09
