Serge Lutens – Miel de Bois
Perfume: Miel de Bois
Perfumer: Serge Lutens
Source: Luckyscent
Size: 1mL
Luckyscent Notes: Ebony, gaiac, oak wood, honey, beeswax, iris, hawthorn
Date: 10/28/07 Weather: 55 degrees and sunny
Comments: Worn during a testing day. As soon as I put this on, there was a distinct floral note, almost chemical. Then it becomes a beeswax scent with orange flower honey – like the honey + comb. There is this woody / boozy accord in this scent. The scent reminded me of the smell of a hospital. It wasn’t offensive, but I hesitate to go out in public smelling like a hospital floor. Also seems very linear – but I scrubbed it after 30 minutes. I need to revisit this scent.
Date: 2/20/08 Weather: 30 degrees, snow/ice, evening
Comments: Starts with strong honey note. After 5 minutes – turns into OraJel (the tooth numbing stuff). Stays that way for hours. Woke up the next morning with a honey / vomity dry down. Still wouldn’t go out in public smelling like this.
