Serge Lutens – Fleur d’Oranger

Perfume: Fleur d’Oranger
Perfumer / House: Serge Lutens
Source: Luckyscent
Size: 1mL

Luckyscent notes: Orange blossom, white jasmine, Indian tuberose, white rose, citrus peel, hibiscus seeds, cumin, nutmeg

Date: 11/6/07 Weather: 55 degrees and clear

Comments: Starts with a bright, pure orange blossom. Becomes more musky and indolic with the jasmine and the tuberose. Hint of cumin in the heart. Very gentle orange blossom/honeyed scent. 3 hours in – still going. This is super pretty. The cumin keeps it from getting too “sweet and floral”.

Date: 1/9/08 Weather: 50 degrees

Comments: Starts with a hit of pure orange blossom. A cumin note appears for 5 minutes, then it dries down to an orange blossom and honey note. I realized last night that this reminds me of those florida orange and honey stands you find outside of some of the orange groves in the spring. The smell of orange blossoms, honey and just a slight bit of dirt and rot. Love this stuff!!!!

Date: 8/10/08 Weather: 75 degrees, rain in area

Comments: Orange blossom and cumin. Wearing over 5 hour old Amoureuses. Amplifies the honey in the SL nicely. Been wearing this other times too. Still very much reminds me of the florida orange stands. Not an everyday scent, but definitely a craver and is probably my orange blossom. Catching a bit of pepper this time around.
