Parfum D’Empire – Osmanthus Interdite

Perfume: Osmanthus Interdite
Perfumer: Parfum D’Empire
Source: Luckyscent
Size: 1mL

Luckyscent Notes: Chinese tea, osmanthus, rose, jasmine, musk

Date: 10/24/07 Weather: 65 degrees and raining

Wearing: The first note is aquatic floral. Then a hint of chemical (tangerine?) oil. Eventually evolves to a light jasmine tea – like that found at high end chineese restaurants. On dry-down, becomes a soapy jasmine. After 2 hours, picks up a certain spiciness (possibly from the musk). Mostly gone within 3 hours.

Comments: This is pretty and office appropriate. Not loving the dry-down.

Date: 12/12/07 Weather: 50 degrees and cloudy

Comments: This time, the first note is “tangerine oil.” Smells “off,” almost vomity – maybe because I’m wearing this over “old” SL Datura Noir. Not liking this as much on this wearing.

Date: 12/20/07 Weather: 45 degrees and clear

Comments: The first note is the chemical aquatic floral which becomes that jasmine tea scent again. This time, worn over old Fresh Scents by Terri (from an unmarked sample – but it had a healthy dose of musk in it). The Osmanthus Interdite picks up the musk of the old scent nicely.

Date: 1/10/08 Weather: 46 degrees and about to rain

Comments: Starts lightly floral then evolves into a strong tea scent. Still reminds me of jasmine tea at a decent oriental restaurant. Not a fan of fruity florals and, no matter how much I wear this, this won’t change my mind. This time, there is almost a rotting note appearing soon after application that seems to linger. Gets soapy about 1 hour in. 3 hours after application, finding it to be a really gentle white musk. Close-wearing.

Date: 1/23/08 Weather: 45 degrees and sunny

Comments: No jasmine tea today. Just the rotting note. Want to scrub, but nowhere near a sink. Wearing over very old (and hopefully dead) Agent Provocateur Maitresse. The more I try it, the less I like it. May need to set this one aside for a (long) while.
